Important Meeting Tonight

The board has drafted the 2009 budget and intends to share its proposal with members of the association at a meeting tonight, November 19. The meeting commences at 7:30 p.m. at the clubhouse.

Plan on Getting Your Chimney Inspected and Cleaned

All American Chimney will be on-site in December to conduct the annual inspection of chimneys and provide cleaning if required. The cost of the inspection is $30.00. Cleaning is $60.00. If you have a working fireplace, you are required to have it inspected annually, which must be done no later than January 31, 2009. Residents will receive more information soon regarding how to make an appointment with All American Chimney.

Gutters will be Cleaned Soon

Bids are currently being sought for the annual cleaning of Berkshire Ridge gutters. The work will be begin soon, but the timing will depend the weather and a judgment on weather or not the majority of leaves have fallen.

A reminder that the speed limit on all roads within Berkshire Ridge is 15 mph. We have had several near misses of late because of speeding. Remember too - no on street parking. Click here for parking rules.

 

Complaints have been received that certain residents are not picking-up after their pets poop. This is not only a health hazard but in violation of this community's by-laws. The board will not hesitate fining anyone who is caught not complying.

Garbage - Are you Compliant?

Our by-laws state that garbage should be put curbside the morning of collection (Tuesday and Friday), and in a garbage can. For the majority of residents this is not the case. Plastic bags full of garbage are left curbside the night before collection and are often raided by bears and other wildlife, creating a mess and also revealing who is not recycling! Be reminded that recycling is the law in New Jersey.  Recycling pick-up dates are notated on this web site (see details of collection dates left of this page).  Finally, be a good neighbor. If you see an empty garbage can being blown around the community, do something about it. Also, pick up trash. This is NOT a country club. We are all responsible for the well-being of Berkshire Ridge.

Parking Permits

 All residents and homeowners are now required to comply with the new registration process for vehicles or be subject to a non-compliance fine.  If you have not yet applied for, or collected your parking permit(s) you can do so by visiting Wilkin Management's offices at 5701 Berkshire Valley Road between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. only.
